Dr. David Schwartz, MD
David Schwartz MD brings over 20 cares of expertise in Radiation Oncology to Metropolitan Radiation. He is an expert in prostate cancer treatment - both external beam radiation and seed placement (brachytherapy). Dr. Schwartz treats patients with the latest techniques available including IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy), IGRT (image guided radiation therapy), SBRT/SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery of body and brain). Treatment regions of expertise include prostate carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, breast carcinoma, lung carcinoma and brain tumors.
Dr. Schwartz has been Chief of New York City hospital Radiation Oncology Departments, teaches residents and publishes in academic journals. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at SUNY Downstate.
